Customizing promotion badge appearance

After setting up your discount and review request email, you can personalise the promotion badge to match your store's branding. This article shows you how.

About promotion badge

The promotion badge is a visual label that highlights your discount offer to encourage customers to leave reviews. Depending on your settings, it can appear across multiple surfaces in your store and emails.
The purpose of this article is to help you change the appearance of the badge to fit your brand. To change the discount value itself, see Using discount settings.

Customize promotion badge

Step 1: Open promotion badge

1. From the Ali Reviews dashboard, click Collect Reviews in the left sidebar.
2. Click the Appearance tab.
3. Under Discount display, click Promotion badge.
4. Click Customize.

Step 2: Select where to preview

Use the Preview on dropdown at the top right of the page to see how the badge looks in each location. You can preview across 10 surfaces:

1. Review request email
2. Review reminder email
3. Thank-you email
4. Photo/video request email
5. Apology email
6. Customer reward email
7. Discount code email
8. Review submission page
9. Review box
10. Write a review section

To change the template for a specific surface, click Customize while that surface is selected.

Step 3: Select template

There are 2 templates for the promotion badge: Basic and Center icons.

Step 4: Adjust design

In the design section, you can adjust:

• Text color
• Discount value color
• Outline or border
• Background card
• Background section
• Border radius

Step 5: Modify content

Language: We support multiple languages including Chinese (simplified), Portuguese, German, French, Japanese, and more.
The language options sync with your Shopify admin settings. To add more languages:

1. From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Languages.
2. Click Add Language.
3. Select a language, then click Add.
4. In Unpublished languages, click Publish next to the language you want available in your store.

Main content: Describes the discount value awarded for each product review.

• Review with text: discount for text reviews.
• Review with photo: discount for photo reviews.
• Review with video: discount for video reviews.

You can edit the text or insert variables in the content section. To change the actual discount amount, see Using discount settings.

Remember to click Save at the top right when you're done. To reset everything to defaults, click Reset default next to Discard.
