# Initial setup guidelines

This checklist outlines all the steps that you need to take to get started with Ali Reviews.

## Enable app embed

The purpose of enabling app embed is to display review widgets on your storefront. This is a required action you need to take to launch your store with product reviews. 

**Steps**

1. Go to **Show Reviews **section, and click **Enable Core Snippet** option.

2. On the Theme Editor, the Ali Reviews Core Snippet will be turned on automatically. You just need to click **Save** in the top right corner.

## Add Review Box

The Review Box is the most popular widget to display customer reviews. Add the Review Box to complete the onboarding process and be ready to show reviews on your storefront after importing reviews.

**Steps**

1. On the welcome screen, click **Get started**.

2. Next, personalize your look! Adjust your brand color, text color, star color, corner style, border radius, and upload your logo. You’ll see all your changes in the preview on the right. When you’re happy, click **Next**.

3. Then, pick the star icon and review box layout you like best, then click **Next**.

4. After that, choose your store theme and the page where you want to show the Review Box, then hit **Add Review Box**.

5. Finally, you’ll be taken to the Shopify Theme Editor. The Review Box will already be added—just drag and drop it where you want it, then click **Save**.

6. All done! Your setup is complete. Now you can start importing reviews, set up automations, or head to the dashboard to explore more.

|| **Note**:  After finishing the setup steps, tick the box to mark the step as done and continue using Ali Reviews features.
