Importing reviews from anywhere like Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, eBay, Etsy

The import from anywhere feature in Ali Reviews lets you quickly import reviews from any website like Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, eBay, Etsy with a browser extension. This guide explains how to set up, filter, and import reviews to match your needs.

How to import reviews from Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, eBay, Etsy

To import reviews from supported sources, follow these steps:

Go to Import Reviews > click Import Settings (top right) to confirm your settings are correct.
Install the Ali Reviews Chrome Extension (skip if already installed).
Visit the product page on Amazon, AliExpress, eBay, Temu, DSers, or Etsy that has reviews.
Click the Ali Reviews logo on the right sidebar to open the import panel.

Select your store and the product you want to import reviews to.
(Optional) Apply filters:

Must have photos – only imports reviews with photos.
Must have text – only imports reviews with written text.

Click Scan reviews, remove unwanted ones, then click Import Reviews.

After importing, click Publish all reviews to make them visible on your store. You can also click Manage reviews to view or edit imported reviews.

Important:

You can only import reviews from product pages that already have reviews. If you’re on the homepage or a page without reviews, the import will not work.
Selecting both filters Must have photo and Must have text may reduce the number of imported reviews. To import more, keep filters at default.
After scanned reviews, you can scroll to the bottom of the listed reviews and click Scan more to get more reviews (if any).

Note: When importing reviews, certain attributes—such as author name, rating, review date, flags, etc.—may appear differently or may not match the original format from different platforms. To ensure consistency on your storefront, Ali Reviews will automatically convert and standardize these attributes into the Ali Reviews format. This way, all imported reviews will look uniform and professional to your customers.

For eBay:

All ratings (positive, neutral, and negative) are converted into star ratings in Ali Reviews’s format.
Reviews displayed in the panel reflect filters applied on both eBay and the Ali Reviews panel.
Date formats like "Past month" are converted to MM/DD/YYYY.

For Temu:

Most country flags in Temu, including flag images or labels like "From abroad," are automatically converted to the US flag.
When switching the language from English to another, some attributes, such as dates, may not display correctly or match the original format.

For Etsy:

Because Etsy doesn't display the country of origin for reviews, they will be automatically assigned to the United States when imported.

For Amazon:

Amazon only allows importing reviews from pages 1–5. Ali Reviews can’t import reviews from page 6 onward.

For all marketplaces, after completing import reviews into the Ali Reviews:

*Customer names like "K***i" are replaced with a full name based on your in-app settings.

These changes ensure all reviews display consistently and professionally on your storefront, regardless of their original format.

Import completion

You can import up to 1000 reviews per session and 5 images per review.
After completing the import, check and manage reviews in the Ali Reviews app.
Allow a few moments for syncing to display the imported reviews in Ali Reviews.

Troubleshooting import errors

Your store is not found

In this case, you need to:

Log in to your Shopify store.
Open the Ali Reviews app.
Reload the product page with the side panel to refresh the store list.

No reviews match filter

For Temu, adjust the filters on the Ali Reviews panel.
For eBay, adjust the filters on both the marketplace and the Ali Reviews panel.

This product on the marketplace has no reviews

Ensure you’re on a product page that has reviews. This only works for product pages that have reviews.
If the Amazon product page has reviews, please login to Amazon and try again.

Your product is not listed in the Ali Reviews extension

If you do not see your product in the dropdown list in the extension, please try searching for the product name using the Search bar:

Amazon log in is required

This error occurs because of Amazon's restrictions for users who aren't logged in. To resolve it, please log in to your Amazon account and try scanning the reviews again.
