Importing reviews from anywhere like Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, eBay, Etsy

The import from anywhere feature in Ali Reviews lets you quickly import reviews from any website like Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, eBay, Etsy with a browser extension. This guide explains how to set up, filter, and import reviews to match your needs.

Access the “import from anywhere” feature in Ali Reviews

From the Ali Reviews dashboard:

Click Import Reviews in the side menu.
In the Import from anywhere section, click on the platform you want to import reviews from.

On the Import reviews from anywhere page, if you have not installed Ali Reviews extension, you will see an option to Install Ali Reviews extension. If you have installed it, please click the "Go to (source name)" button.

Note: You can customize the settings to filter and import specific reviews from the platforms. At the top-right corner of the import reviews page, click "Customize settings".

Add the Ali Reviews extension

Steps to add the extension:

From the Import reviews from anywhere, choose a source (example: Amazon) and click install Ali Reviews extension. This will open the Chrome Web Store.
Click the Add to Chrome button in the Chrome Web Store.

Confirm by clicking Add extension.

Import reviews from Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, eBay, Etsy

Important:To import reviews, ensure you are on a product page with reviews, not the marketplace homepage. When on the platform’s homepage, always be sure to find a specific product page with reviews. You can only import reviews from pages that already have reviews available. (The homepage itself will not have reviews to import.)

Once you’ve added the Ali Reviews extension, follow these steps to import reviews:

Visit a product page on Amazon or AliExpress or Temu or eBay or Etsy (e.g., a pickleball paddle).
Click the Ali Reviews logo in the right sidebar. This will open a side panel displaying the review list.
Select your store (if you have multiple) and product that you want to import.
Apply filter (must have photo / text) and enable auto-publish (optional)
Click Scan reviews, remove unwanted ones, and click Import reviews.

Alternative access:

You can also click the Ali Reviews extension icon at the top of your browser to activate the feature.

Use the side panel

Select a store

If your required store is not listed, follow these steps:

Log in to your Shopify store.
Open the Ali Reviews app.
Reload the product page with the side panel to refresh the store list.

Select a product to import reviews

Ensure your store has products available before importing reviews.

Scan reviews

After selecting a store and a product, click "Scan reviews" to pull reviews into the panel.

Apply filters (optional)

Must have photos: Only imports reviews with photos, regardless of text.
Must have text: Only imports reviews with text, regardless of photos.
Selecting both filters may reduce the number of reviews imported. To maximize imported reviews, keep the filters at their default settings.

For eBay: Reviews displayed in the panel reflect filters applied on both eBay and the Ali Reviews panel.

Review management before importing

Scroll through the side panel to check the quality of reviews.
Delete unwanted reviews or keep only the ones you need before importing them.

Important note

Note: When importing reviews, certain attributes—such as author name, rating, review date, flags, etc.—may appear differently or may not match the original format from different platforms. To ensure consistency on your storefront, Ali Reviews will automatically convert and standardize these attributes into the Ali Reviews format. This way, all imported reviews will look uniform and professional to your customers.

For eBay:

All ratings (positive, neutral, and negative) are converted into star ratings in Ali Reviews’s format.
Date formats like "Past month" are converted to MM/DD/YYYY.

For Temu:

Most country flags in Temu, including flag images or labels like "From abroad," are automatically converted to the US flag.
When switching the language from English to another, some attributes, such as dates, may not display correctly or match the original format.

For Etsy:

Because Etsy doesn't display the country of origin for reviews, they will be automatically assigned to the United States when imported.

For Amazon:

Amazon only allows importing reviews from pages 1–5. Ali Reviews can’t import reviews from page 6 onward.

For all marketplaces, after completing import reviews into the Ali Reviews:

*Customer names like "K***i" are replaced with a full name based on your in-app settings.

These changes ensure all reviews display consistently and professionally on your storefront, regardless of their original format.

Import completion

You can import up to 1000 reviews per session and 5 images per review.
After completing the import, check and manage reviews in the Ali Reviews app.
Allow a few moments for syncing to display the imported reviews in Ali Reviews.

Troubleshooting import errors

Your store is not found

In this case, you need to:

Log in to your Shopify store.
Open the Ali Reviews app.
Reload the product page with the side panel to refresh the store list.

No reviews match filter

For Temu, adjust the filters on the Ali Reviews panel.
For eBay, adjust the filters on both the marketplace and the Ali Reviews panel.

This product on the marketplace has no reviews

Ensure you’re on a product page that has reviews. This only works for product pages that have reviews.
If the Amazon product page has reviews, please login to Amazon and try again.

Your product is not listed in the Ali Reviews extension

If you do not see your product in the dropdown list in the extension, please try searching for the product name using the Search bar:

Amazon log in is required

This error occurs because of Amazon's restrictions for users who aren't logged in. To resolve it, please log in to your Amazon account and try scanning the reviews again.
